@RonSwanonson Maxi never meant “no other assets.” It meant: money tends to one, and altcoins were never real competition. They were centralized imitations with no fixed supply, pitching themselves as the next Bitcoin while missing everything that made Bitcoin Bitcoin.

Is a Bitcoin maxi someone who thinks Bitcoin is the only crypto and only money that matters and will ultimately become the money? And maybe they have a few other investments Or is a Bitcoin maxi someone who believes all monetary value must go into Bitcoin and they hold no other asset for monetary premium at all?

My father passed away this morning. I can't get to him. I don't even know how to process it. Prayers to my sis, on her way now to meet coroner at his house. Prayers for my kids who didn't get to say goodbye. Prayers he didn't suffer alone too long. Hug your loved ones right now. And yes.... call. Often. Don't wait till you have free time on a weekend like I just sadly did this week, only to get no answer.

Can anyone explain to me why parking $100,000 in a savings account that loses to inflation is still called “responsible”…… but going heavy on $STRC is called risky? Do the math:$100,000 in $STRC at 11.5% yield = $958 per month in dividends. Why aren't more people doing this?

sold the lifestyle to buy the future at 50+ i bought an RV cut the bills down to nothing every dollar saved goes to bitcoin most people thought i was crazy i thought i was late 2 more payments and it's payed Off After that Those payments Go straight into Bitcoin. Am i CRAZY ?

Two and a half years ago I tried (unsuccessfully) to orange-pill my cousin, when Bitcoin was $35k. "Its just too volatile", she told me. A week later my elderly mom told me the family was gossiping that I had tried to scam her. 🤷‍♂️ This morning, my cousin called me to tell me she is taking her family on vacation to visit extended family in Ireland. The justification is "the kids are growing up and will be going their own way soon." (Her eldest is 15!!). "Yeah we decided to just do it. So we're borrowing $20k from the 401k." I have failed at orange-pilling. But then again, normies are failing themselves. Doom-Spending is real.

@dariosats It’s not always about the numbers. Congratulations on getting out of that debt. It’s great that Bitcoin could do that for your family and will do much more in the future with your remaining stack.

Last week I sold 1/3 of my stack and paid off our home mortgage in full. After 8 years as a low-time-preference Bitcoiner waiting for hyperbitcoinization, it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. It was emotional, not financial. I wanted to secure my family’s home amid uncertainty. I felt tremendous guilt for months: “What if I’m missing out on even more generational wealth?” Ultimately I decided to spend some of it as money on something that matters. "It’s not life-changing money… unless you let it change your life." Bitcoin has been the best savings account our family could have hoped for. HODLing is powerful and changes you in more ways than one; I am grateful. Hope this helps someone else wrestling with the same dilemma. "Stay humble, stack sats."
