#UpTheAFC new club branding and badge for our 2026/27 shirts. Lots of effort went into this work, I’m rightly very proud of the team and everyone’s achievements!

After 10 years delivering the beer kegs to pubs, clubs and restaurants etc, I finally handed in my notice today to concentrate full time on my automotive upholstery business. It's better to try and fail, than never to try at all.

@RupertLowe10 Thank you Rupert, we are pushing forward irrespective! I have over 20 people in my firm who were naturally concerned but we’re ok. However, I do feel a great sense of worry for the businesses that are not as fortunate as us!

I've been involved in the creation of more businesses than I can remember - investing in, and developing companies alongside, young British entrepreneurs is a real passion of mine. Starting a business from scratch, building it up, making it a success? It is bloody hard work, and there is real risk involved. Anyone who has given it a go, successful or not, has my respect. Not many in the Labour Party can say they've done that... There needs to be a total reset of the relationship between Government/HMRC and private businesses. Just look at these average call waiting time figures, it sums up how the state treats the people actually paying the bills... HMRC? 24 minutes, 18 seconds. Universal Credit helpline? 3 minutes, 24 seconds. It's a joke. Trying to get anything out of HMRC is pathetically difficult, as it is with ANY Governmental organisation. Any of them! Don't get me started on local councils... They're working from home, off for the week, it's someone else's problem. Nobody takes any responsibility, and guess what? NOTHING gets done. All work is done in silos. There is no joined-up thinking, with ZERO consequences for failing to deliver. I'd link senior public sector leadership pay to performance. See how that gets them jumping up and down. Before I was elected, I knew it was bad. Having seen it from the position of an MP? Bloody hell. It's even worse than I thought, and that is saying something. The services we're paying an increasing amount of tax for aren't serving the people actually funding the whole charade. If it were up to me - I'd slash corporation tax, cut dividend rates, double the VAT threshold, reduce income tax/national insurance contributions, increase personal allowances, abolish businesses rates for high street small businesses, and generally simplify the tax process. Incentivise people to make money and generate success. And guess what? They'll end up actually paying more tax. I will never understand how politicians can't grasp this basic idea. It is NOT POSSIBLE to tax our way to economic prosperity. Governments don't drive growth, individuals and businesses do. To anyone in business who is wading through this nonsense trying to make a success of themselves, you have my full admiration and respect. I know it's difficult at the moment, but keep plugging away. Your hard work is appreciated!

One question for you - when it comes to recycling old clothes, I’m stumped! What’s the best thing to do with elastane and polyester in your opinion?

@Victorinox I’m having trouble buying anything from your website at the moment, there seems to be an error where I’m continually asked to provide my payment details and it loops back to the same thing endlessly?

@TheRock Thanks for this Dwayne, I had a massive fight with my dad years ago and we didn’t speak for over a decade. I’m glad I managed to reconcile with him in 2013 and had eight years to make up for lost time until cancer took him in 2021. I’m sorry for your loss. 💔

Had to tap back in to all my guys out there who - like me - no longer have our fathers to say Happy Father’s Day to. My old man died suddenly a few years ago. Unfortunately, we got in a fight about a month earlier and I never reconciled with him or even had a chance to say goodbye. So for me, every Father’s Day has become very tricky because there’s a lot pain. But every Father’s Day is also one of my greatest days because I have three amazing daughters who tell me, I love you and Happy Fathers Day. To my guys out there, if your old man is still around - consider it a blessing. Even if you and your dad are working thru some complicated shit. I’ve been there and I understand. But do your best to reconcile and get that drama behind you and get right with your dad. It’s important. Because the alternative is regret and I don’t want that for you. Happy Fathers Day. We’re all lucky boys. “I’ll take care of it”
