I try to think of the dogs' names out a lot when we rescue them and I called her Bianca because she was covered in her own poop. Her skin was battered and I dreamt that one day she would be as white as snow. Those dreams all came true and she's now found her amazing home in America. What I love so much is that our lovely owner buys her soft toys and Bianca's favorite thing to do is round them up around the house and bring them all onto her bed. She's probably the most innocent and angelic dog that we've ever had and I think this sums her up perfectly. Not in a million years could I have dreamt that your life would turn out like this, Bianca, but it has and you deserve it, darling ❤️

♒😺☮🌊Ms. Caramel Rhapsody & Jesse 👑🧓🏾We ❤️YOU!
My friends, Jesse (in his cat stroller) and I went to the Community Festival yesterday. I didn't stay long. Jesse tried to befriend every child and DOG he saw. Unfortunately, the canines weren't receptive. We all spent the rest of the day working on our puzzles and laughing.👍🏾

Breakthrough Moment💕 You might remember the frightened mum cat and kittens we rescued from inside an old car last weekend. It’s only been a week since they came into our care, but yesterday felt like a really special step forward. Mum is still very nervous, her ears stay flat, her eyes are constantly wide, and she still throws in the odd hiss to remind us she’s not quite sure about humans yet, but yesterday, for the first time, she felt comfortable enough to come over and take food whilst Carolyn sat quietly beside her. For a frightened mum cat, that’s a huge bit of progress. Despite being scared herself, she continues to be an absolutely brilliant mum to her kittens who already seem to love every bit of attention they can get! She’s still learning that she’s safe, but little moments like this are exactly how trust begins ❤️ Sharing our posts really, really helps our vital work #cats

Love cats! In Scottish lore it is said the sudden arrival of an unknown black cat on your doorstep will bring your home prosperity & good luck, while in Wales it is believed owning a black cat ‘will chase all ills away.’ #FolkloreSunday #MythologyMonday #Art: Helen Timbury

Today I introduced Rocky to my own dogs Hank and Chance. It’s the first day he has been well enough and can see enough to interact. A little scary for Rocky as Hank is so big. Some teeth were shown. But look at them all by the end. ❤️

Mr Rocky had his first ever T-bone streak today. He said it was the best day of his life. It’s only 3 weeks since he came in so close to death and plenty of people said he should be put to sleep. Unbelievable scenes ❤️

Blue and Belle tried kitten biscuits for the first time today… and immediately entered full self anointing mode! 😳😂 This is how hedgehogs process new smells and tastes - coating themselves in frothy saliva and rather a lot of dramatic rolling until their balance improves! 🫶🦔

A clever African grey parrot named Rocco went viral after being caught using Alexa to secretly order snacks and toys from Amazon while home alone. Rocco, who lives in the United Kingdom with his owner Marion Wischnewski, mastered the smart assistant by mimicking human speech. He successfully added items like strawberries, broccoli, ice cream treats, and toys to shopping lists — and even attempted to place full orders. His owner first noticed something unusual when random items started appearing in her Amazon cart. After some investigation, she discovered that Rocco had been chatting with Alexa whenever he was left unsupervised. Originally rescued by the National Animal Welfare Trust, Rocco’s mischievous intelligence has captivated people worldwide, highlighting just how clever and playful African grey parrots can be.

In old German belief, lily of the valley were called Maiglöckchen, “little May bells”, and sacred to Ostara, goddess of dawn and spring. Their white flowers symbolised purity, their green leaves hope. They came to embody new beginnings and earth’s renewal after winter. #folklore

Mary Newcomb Don't worry, the shells will all wash back into the sea. The dandelion will push up through the asphalt. The man will whistle and none will hear him. The grass will push through the paving stones and cover us all. (Sent to me from a dear friend)
