@b_leeder @sbxr Compounding at 6% maximising the concessional from day 1 of work gets you to $3.4m over 35 years. Now if that is an individuals situation they probably should be taxed on super over $3m.

So you have to put 10.5% and growing into super but if you put too much you can't get access to it but it gets tax liked other income ? This mob are shockers. If people are contributing "too much" to super then allow them to contribute less in % terms. afr.com/policy/tax-and…

@turbo1191 @sbxr I'm not sure who your Superannuation is held with, but if you're really getting 0% returns on your investments, maybe you should find a better fund...

@sbxr You do realise that the maximum pre-tax contribution per year is current $27,500. Therefore to meet the $3m cap they are discussing you would have to work 109 years. Or is your superannuation knowledge as bad as I think?
