Extroverts often try to befriend me, assuming I share their temperament, only to discover later that I prefer solitude. They interpret this as rejection, though it is nothing of the kind; it is merely the natural disposition of an introvert.

If someone doesn't believe in love then their opinion should be discarded on all other subjects as well. It doesn't matter how unrelated the topic at hand is, people who don't believe in love are consistently wrong and evil.

This place is ripe for satire. Where are the Savages and Juvenals? Instead, we have conspicuous social critics, apes that perform the already satirised sneering of destitute English aristocrats, outmoded in their day, yet they live on, trapped in amber by Jews in country clubs.

For years I've imagined lonesome Jorjani, from a distance, staring out over the Long Island Sound. He is mourning a loss... He sees his reflection in the calm water, his permanently raised eyebrow quizzically contradicts his tender heart. He cries.

@lilchiva Sometimes a man gets in over his head... with his schemes... forgiveness... I think Jeff Buckley sung that in Lover, You Should Have Come Over, but even if he didn't, it's probably what he meant.

@4colyt3 We should do Dario the animated series. And, it's nothing but him running scams and people believing him and taking the most extreme actions possible wherein he loses all his gains.

@Dljokl Nobody likes Gypsies. They are one of the first groups I would expel. A crowd pleasing amuse-bouche before the main event.

Ya know, with everyone "JQ" poasting, it's amazing how not a single racist has *noticed* that all the big AI companies and labs are Jewish and Asian founded or led. Where's muh eugenic hbd now, Western man?

@LordIxabert I've never seen the supposed ambiguity of got/got give rise to mistakes in British English. The trouble with looking at individual words means you miss the sentence specific context they are used in. Only a complete fool would need a different word for everything.

I've been thinking the matter over and, with great reluctance, have at last been forced to concede. The British are wrong about GOTTEN. One ought, when one remembers, to imitate the Americans in this matter & employ GOTTEN——not GOT——as the past participle of GET. The distinction is too useful to discard. One has GOT for possession & GOTTEN for acquisition. I dislike the conclusion intensely. I should very much have liked the Americans to be mistaken, as they generally have the decency to be. Unfortunately, in this sole instance, American English is correct.

I exist within a peculiar slice of British society from which it is possible to taste vulnerabilities in the supply chain by the variation in ingredient quality in McCoys Ridge Cut Sizzling King Prawn Potato Crisps.
