Thanks Etienne Some very good examples of new leadership in legislation shared from several countries at the meeting already. A great concept to bring about the stimulus and scale needed to reduce road trauma.

Delighted to welcome the Leadership Council of the Global Network of Road Safety Legislators to. @WHO this afternoon. Legislators have a key role in improving the laws. Only 5 countries have optimal road safety legislation. 179 don’t have it yet!

Very useful App for @WHO Global Status Report #roadsafety 2018. See: WHO GRSInfo 2018. Compares country data & legislation including key vehicle safety regulations. One interesting comparison: India now applies pedestrian protection & ABS in motorcycles but USA doesn’t!
