🇮🇷 "Oh God, it feels like Judgment day. They're all children." This is allegedly audio from the aftermath of the strike on the school in Minab, Iran. A U.S. probe has found the strike was "likely" carried out by American forces.

Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir’s English translator, Yishai Fleischer, says Nick Fuentes is right about everything he claims Israel is planning to do “You’re saying all this as if it’s a bad thing. It’s not a bad thing. It’s God’s plan, it’s the historical plan, and Israel has every right to extend its defense to the Arab countries and across this region. You’re right. From the Indian Sea to the Persian Gulf, to the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aqaba, the Suez Canal, and the Mediterranean, we’re going to have a lot of control over that, and it’s going to be good for the world.”

Today, the body of our neighbor was found during displacement, buried and decomposed. He had been injured and kept bleeding for three days during the last evacuation from northern Gaza. When he realized he would not survive and no one could reach him, he covered himself with soil and buried himself while in prostration. Now, his bones were found formed in the position of sujood (prostration). His body was discovered beside a tree where he had chosen his final place. He left a sign for his family — his ring was tied above the soil with a thread and a small branch from the tree so they could find him. He will be laid to rest properly after Friday prayer today. Mercy to the martyrs, and patience for the thousands of families still waiting for news about their missing loved ones in Gaza. Speak about them. Do not let their stories disappear. #trending #viral #fyp #explorepage #Gaza #Humanity #RememberThem

This could be solved by a relatively minor communication adjustment. Instead of framing it as "why you X", frame it as "I felt..." From accusatory to instant unguarding and maybe opening up to further conversation? Or a thing like "were you having a difficult morning? + X"

Ride the cortisol high in the morning. Take a power nap in the afternoon. Ride the dopamine high in late evening. Sleep to rejuvenate and repair.
Anish Moonka@anishmoonka

Cortisol is what wakes you up. Your body dumps a huge spike of it into your blood 30 minutes after you open your eyes. Without it, you don't get out of bed. Before cortisone was available in the late 1940s, most people who couldn't make cortisol were dead within 5 years. That is the hormone TikTok keeps telling you to suppress. The meme goes: laptop work equals high cortisol equals puffy face equals bad, music and dancing equals low cortisol equals clean jawline equals good. Cute theory. It is wrong, and the wrongness is costing people a lot of money. Cortisol runs most of your body. Almost every cell in your body listens to it. It sets your blood sugar and your blood pressure. It tells your immune system when to turn up and when to back off. It controls the daily rhythm that decides when you feel awake and when you feel tired. Your adrenal glands pump it out on a schedule, whether you're on a laptop or dancing in the kitchen. The "cortisol face" thing that exploded on TikTok last year is not something a doctor can diagnose. Dr. Priya Jaisinghani, an endocrinologist at NYU Langone, told the Guardian there is no such medical diagnosis. The puffy-face condition doctors do recognize (moon face) comes from tumors or from people taking steroid drugs like prednisone for years. A stressful Slack thread does not do that. The disease of too much cortisol is called Cushing's syndrome. The rare tumor-caused kind shows up in 4 to 5 people per million per year worldwide, per endocrinologist Dr. Maria Fleseriu. The more common kind comes from taking steroid medications for years. Neither comes from a laptop. Too little cortisol kills you faster. It's called Addison's disease, affects around 1 in 5000 people, and without a daily hormone pill it's fatal. A crash in cortisol (doctors call it adrenal crisis) still puts people in emergency rooms today. Exercise spikes cortisol harder than almost any normal stressor. A 2008 study out of the University of North Carolina measured an 83 percent jump in blood cortisol after 30 minutes of hard exercise. That spike is part of why exercise works. Stanford Lifestyle Medicine has pointed out that regular training lowers your baseline cortisol over the long run. So the dancing frog on the right has higher cortisol than the stressed one on the left. Meanwhile the global detox products market, where cortisol-lowering supplements now sit, was worth $40.7 billion in 2025 and is projected to hit $72.6 billion by 2035. Ashwagandha, magnesium, L-theanine, 15-in-1 stress stacks. The FDA hasn't approved a single one of them as a treatment for anything. Cortisol didn't change. The marketing did.

Dude has no significant other, no kids, no family, and settled for a secondary career after receiving some pushback. He’s been living on an aircraft carrier for years. The human race is at stake and he’s just like “Nope, won’t do it.” By the time this scene happens, we also already know everything worked out for the best

still can’t believe people found this scene funny and not extremely heartbreaking
