the way to heal a defensive ego is obviously shadow work, but also to acknowledge that there is an inner child in there that is using anger and blame as a way to protect itself.

if someone comes to you in confidence to discuss how you made them feel and you suddenly feel attacked and make it about you, that’s ego.
