BIG is BACK…… Today we officially announce the launch of The BIG Weekend 2024, Nottinghamshire Scout’s County Camp, running from Friday 3rd to Monday 6th May 2024.

Because of Covid restrictions, the Scouts couldn't go to the Peak District for their expedition like normal, so we did a local expedition instead! It was great to hear about their adventures last night

Our Cubs and Scouts returned to face to face scouting this weekend. The Cubs went for a St George's Day walk by the river last night and the Scouts were lighting fires at Stonepit this morning. #BackTogetherSafely

Two of our sections were meeting at Rushcliffe Country Park last night. Cubs were replaying their socially distanced activities from the other week with the other half of the pack and Scouts were orienteering in the dark! #BackTogetherSafely

It's good to be back! The Scouts have been at Stonepit doing socially distanced fire lighting and making s'mores. Each scout was given a covid safe s'mores kit, containing chocolate biscuits and marshmallows. #BackTogetherSafely

If you see Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers out and about over the coming weeks, we’re finally starting meeting again. We are classed as education and so are exempt from the #RuleOfSix, but rest assured we do have our own rules & procedures that we follow to keep everyone safe.
