This is proof that there would be no France 🇫🇷 without Africa. If African leaders had a sense of sovereignty and solidarity, France wouldn’t be around the shores of our continent.

Thomas Massie: “The force of the whole swamp has come down on me.” “It’s three billionaires.” “They’re hedge fund managers and gambling magnates.” “They’re upset that I’ve never voted for foreign aid.” “Particularly foreign aid to Israel.” “And they’re upset that I vote against the wars.” “These billionaires are funding a super PAC called MAGA Kentucky.” “They are not MAGA, and they have never been to Kentucky.” “There will be $6 million spent this week on TV and radio and mail.” “Fox News, they’ve got a monopoly on the screens in a lot of Republican houses, particularly people between the ages of 65 and 75.” “For the last 18 months, they’ve not invited me on a single show.” “They have blacklisted me.” “I can’t get on TVs in the living rooms of the people that vote in this election unless I can buy TV ads.” @RepThomasMassie @MassieforKY

🇺🇸🇨🇳 For the 1st time in history, a U.S. president flew to China on the back foot. That's the read from James King, senior fellow at Chatham House, one of the world's top foreign policy think tanks. Trump is in Beijing meeting Xi, with a 200-plane Boeing deal reportedly on the table. But the framing matters: China is buying planes because it helps them look like the reasonable party. The U.S. spent decades negotiating with China from a position of strength. That leverage is gone, according to James. Let's see if time gives him the reason on this Source: Sky News

🇺🇸🇨🇳 The expected deliverables from the Beijing summit are starting to come into view, and they're all about trade... US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer told Bloomberg the US expects China to commit to "double-digit billion" worth of US agricultural product purchases annually for the next three years. Nothing has been officially signed yet. China reportedly "reupped" the license for over 400 US beef plants whose export permissions had expired. A $30 billion "Board of Trade" covering non-sensitive goods is under discussion. Nvidia H200 chip sales remain a "sovereign decision" for Beijing. Despite Trump greenlighting exports, China has not yet allowed its firms to purchase them. Rare earth exports got a "passing grade" from Greer. While Iran dominated the headlines, the substance the US expects to come out of the summit is farm state midterms, beef licenses, and trade architecture executing Wall Street's playbook. Africa would be better off without its thousands of non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Professor Jiang Xueqin reckons they’re strategically placed by Western interests to block the emergence of “unifying” leaders, stall the continent’s growth and allow the exploitation of its resources. In his Predictive History lectures, he explains that’s one reason Africa remains poor, despite its vast natural wealth. Over 90% of large African NGOs rely heavily on outside funding. And According to 'FundsforNGOs' the biggest donors include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation. South Africa had a staggering 270,000 NGOs in 2023, according to the Department of Social Development. #Africa #NGOs #GameTheory #Politics #Development #PanAfrican #Geopolitics #UN #Development #Africarise #WakeupAfrica

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The global economy is teetering on the edge of a depression if the current military buildup against Iran continues. Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi notes that the U.S. has already spent well over $100 billion on a conflict that will only end in failure. Prof. Marandi suggested the price of war is far too high for the American public to bear, especially as domestic recession looms. "Even if right now there is peace, we are going to have a bad global recession. But if we have war, it's going to be a very deep depression worse than what happened in the 1930s." @S_M_Marandi

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Control of the Strait of Hormuz has reached a permanent turning point that the West is struggling to accept. Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi says that Iran had no intention of seizing the waterway until the Gulf was used as a staging ground for attacks against them. "The war started because of Zionism." @S_M_Marandi

🇹🇷🇬🇭 A single Turkish ship anchored off Ghana's coast generates over a quarter of the country's electricity. The MV Karadeniz Powership Osman Khan is 299 meters long and pumps out up to 480 MW of power. It has been doing this since 2017. No power plant to build. No years of construction delays. Karpowership, the Turkish private company behind it, has quietly turned this model into a global business, deploying floating plants to countries with chronic energy deficits across Africa and beyond. Africa has an infrastructure gap that traditional investment has failed to close for decades. Turkey found a way to monetize that gap with engineering.

Jeff Walton: "Is an insurance company a Ponzi scheme?" Coffeezilla: "No. They have business activities that are providing cash flow. They're taking on risk." Walton: "Insurance companies have capital and they're taking on risk to pay liability into the future. Almost 100% of the claims that get paid out on insurance company balance sheets is from premiums that they're collecting in the door. So under your definition, you would call an insurance company a Ponzi scheme." Coffeezilla: "No, no. They have real profits. They have real cash flows." Walton: "The profits are the assets that are protected on their balance sheet." Coffeezilla: "People are paying for products." Walton: "What's the product?"
