This looks like a great appointment. Far more independent than the sham of a review in England. And to donate salary to care leavers. JM wouldn't do this. One has my full respect. The other is waiting for an honour and funding moving forward. Really pleases to see this. 😁💙

I got discharged today after 8 weeks in hospital. Looking forward to some rest & quality time with @VickieRose08. I'm glad I'll be sleeping in my own bed tonight. Thanks again to everyone for your support over the last couple of tough months. Onwards & upwards. 😁 #mentalhealth

After a lot of thinking & conversations I've decided to retire from public speaking about my own experiences in care. It's time for me to move forward & not be stuck in the past. Constantly digging from the well isn't healthy. I'm going to finish my next book & I'm done 1/2

I need to move forward with my life. I've done this over a decade now. When I am well enough to work I'll be looking for something like being a co-ordinator or something or go to college. I need a new chapter. Only thing I'm going to stick to is #ECLCM @ResCareTo21 @EdNixon2

Nearly 20 years without a conviction after having 33 between 11-18 years is something as a young person I didn't think was possible. I didn't think I'd manage 20 days never mind 20 years. Now I'm a published Author. I've been to Buckingham Palace for services & a Fellow RSA.

Now that it's unlikely I will be out of Hospital for Christmas I'm hoping to be out for New Year. 5 weeks ago I seriously attempted to take my own life. I was at peace with it. I wanted to achieve it. Some people didn't give up on me when I'd given up on myself. #mentalhealth

Today I asked the Minister for Crime and Policing why he hasn't put a stop to youth offenders’ institutions and training centres where children suffer violent assaults so bad it results in A&E. This state sanctioned child abuse needs urgent action, not an acknowledgment. 👇👇
