Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis is caused by a defect in Ca or Na channels leading to weakness during episodes of hypokalemia. Treatment includes K, k-sparing diuretics, and avoidance of vigorous exercise. Check TSH, as it is closely linked to hypo/hyperthyroid states. #EMConf
