@ot_acp @bevmcr @CathMcCoy @bowker_helen Nope. Case studies have been sent repeatedly. Meetings have been had and examples given to learn from other organisations who have been through the process to no avail. Sadly I can no longer promote the path I have taken to others as they can not apply for the roles!!

Any of our lovely followers have any update on where RCOT are up to with our prescribing battle? I have taken the eye of the ball and wondering if we have made any progress? 🙏🏽🙏🏽 @bevmcr @53brantingham @CathMcCoy @bowker_helen

For all you Stroke tweeps wondering how to follow the Stroke guidelines to deimplement Bobath for task specific practice. Check out this great free lecture (and many more great resources) with @stroke_ed. An early start in the UK but well worth it. strokeed.com/event/strokeed…

Hi all, I need some help! I’m collecting ‘paradoxes’ or ‘competing demands’ we face when undertaking change….what are the real issues preventing transformation? Examples so far; 1. How can we ‘spend to save’ when we have no money in the first place? 2. How can we do more with no additional resource? 3. How are we long term focused but short term invested? 4. How can we be commercially driven and socially responsible? 5. How can we see more patients without creating capacity 6. How can we plan a better future when we’re always firefighting? Any examples gratefully received! @HelenBevan @wyliedpod

Well there you go #UKSF23 is over for another year. Thankyou for the opportunity to show the work completed on this project by everyone involved. Now to write the results into a paper 🙈.

Upward progression for AHPs is limited compared to non AHP professions. NMP knowledge is a great adjunct to OT knowledge and skills. It’s usefulness is demonstrated by other AHP professions who use it. Let us take those examples and advocate for OTs. @theRCOT

🙌🙌 💯 we are at a huge disadvantage compared to our colleagues if this isn’t sorted out. OTs shouldn’t have to miss out on career opportunities and progression

@ot_acp @sheenae84 @smfletcher10 Nope. small pieces of work are taking place within RCOT to try to establish a case of need for NMP rights for OTs but certainly no changes to legislation. The focus always returns to the idea of PGDs which is not the answer. We need more people to approach RCOT.

Fantastic conversation with passionate and inspiring reps from @ot_acp today. OTs working as Advanced Clinical Practitioners making a massive difference in a range of clinical settings. But if they were able to prescribe the impact would be even greater.

@ASwain5 @SteveGFord @ot_acp Hi Amanda, this was a meeting we arranged independently with RCOT as a newly formed group of ACP OTs in the north west. We mentioned NMP for all OTs in the right role at the right time for the patient and not just ACPs. Consultant level practice was included in this.

@RowenaPadamsey @SeanOSu37 @RCOT_Gen @theRCOT It’s a huge issue and stops many aspiring OT’s from applying and being able to apply for these roles regardless of career frameworks. Sadly, challenging the need for NMP for most of these roles is not the answer either. We need more of a national collective on this!

@53brantingham @SeanOSu37 @RCOT_Gen @theRCOT Thanks for responding Rachael! That was my understanding re NMP and has subsequently ruled OT’s out of applying for ACP roles locally 😥 Sounds like a brilliant opportunity to promote the role of the OT in stroke care :)

Working in primary care. Recently started my MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner course. Are there any aspiring ACP OT's out there willing to network please? Would also love to hear from existing ACP OT’s! @RCOT_Gen @theRCOT
