it’s been five days since the Wakas at Simula concert, and i’ve been silent about it ever since. not because i didn’t feel anything, but because i felt too much. i didn’t know how to put it into words right away. i needed time to sit with it, to let everything sink in, to understand why that night felt like it saved me again. truth is, hindi naman talaga ako dapat pupunta. three days before the concert, saka ko lang biglang na-feel na kailangan ko siyang puntahan. like out of nowhere, may urge na “kailangan andun ako.” and that same week? sobrang bigat. sobrang daming nangyari na hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin ma-explain ng buo. i was tired in ways na hindi na kayang ayusin ng tulog lang. mentally, emotionally, everything felt overwhelming. i was just… trying to get through each day. pero naghanap pa rin ako ng ticket. and somehow, despite everything, nakahanap ako. parang everything aligned in a way i didn’t expect. kaya nung nakapunta ako, doon ko lang na-realize kung gaano ko siya kailangan. the moment the concert started, i already felt something shifting. parang unti-unti kong binababa lahat ng bigat na dala ko. every song felt personal. every lyric felt like it was speaking directly to me. hindi ko ma-explain, pero parang may part sa akin na nakita, naintindihan, na niyakap—kahit hindi nila ako kilala. hearing ILAW live again for the second time hit me differently. the first time i heard it live, all i could do was cry. this time, i still cried… but i was finally able to sing along. and that meant so much to me. kasi it felt like i wasn’t as lost as i used to be. i’m still healing, yes, pero may progress. may pagbabago, kahit konti. pero when Wakas started… that’s when i completely broke. i don’t know how to explain it, pero it felt like i was being spoken to directly. like every line was meant for me. like when pablo was singing, it didn’t feel like he was just performing—it felt like he was talking to me, right there, live, asking me… begging me… na wag muna akong bumitaw sa buhay. and that hit something so deep in me. kasi there are days na i don’t even know if i still want to keep going. there are days na pagod na pagod na ako—mentally, emotionally—na parang gusto ko na lang tumigil. and hearing that song live, in that exact moment, felt like someone finally understood that part of me. not just understood it, but chose to stay with me in it. i cried the kind of cry na hindi mo mapipigilan. hindi siya dramatic—tahimik lang, pero ang bigat. parang lahat ng pagod, lahat ng sakit, lahat ng tinatago ko, sabay-sabay lumabas. and then hearing Liham for the first time live… i didn’t expect it to hit me that much. pero it did. it felt like closure and comfort at the same time. like a quiet reassurance after everything. that night wasn’t just a concert for me. it was an escape. a pause. a safe space. a reminder that even when i feel like i’m losing myself, there’s still something—someone—pulling me back, telling me to stay. SB19, you don’t even realize how many times you’ve saved me already. and this time… it wasn’t loud, it wasn’t grand—it was quiet, personal, and exactly what i needed. maybe i’m still not okay. maybe i’m still figuring things out. but after that night, i know i’m still here. and for now, that’s enough. thank you for saving me again, pau, josh, stell, ken and jah. i love you all more than my life.
