A hotel we often go to in the Cotswolds in February for our anniversary is £120 per room per night including breakfast. Just looked at the prices for June as I fancy going back there. £1,100 for 3 nights!!!😲 We're not going. 😡

@benonwine Got married on the 1st June, it rained a little bit when I came out of the church ( an omen???) after that no rain for months. Memories of the heatwave, lasted longer than memories of the marriage 😞

Who remembers the LONG HOT SUMMER of 1976? 🇬🇧🥵 People still talk about it nearly 50 years later. Were you there? What’s your strongest memory or story from that legendary summer?☀️

@Rothbury01669 If you are 53 you aren't a boomer. I'm 71, McDonald's came when I was 20. Remember a kid in my class, when I told them that asked 'what did you eat then' Answer: home cooked food and fish b chips Saturday lunchtime

I'm 53 poppet. There were no McDonald's KFC or Dominoes when I was a kid When I went to comprehensive school my art class teacher asked who'd had Lasagne. A third of the class put their hands up. I didn't even know what it was You're deluded

@SandyofSuffolk My thoughts exactly……is he getting a ‘pay off’ just shows the lack of commitment to their constituents they have.

@SC92kfr @ejgallagherx Shouldn't have anything to eat or drink until seen and told you can. If emergency surgery is needed it can't go ahead immediately, if you have eaten or drunk in the previous couple of hours

@knnon_a @IsfreeJane Sadly, SP is classed as a benefit, also WASPI women know only too well what the government can do with their SP. Deprive it from them for 6 years

Waspi women could not claim pension credit. They were £2 over the limit for pension credit and therefore £5,000 worse off!
Carole chapman@Carolechapman17

@BritainisCool What about the older women pensioners who did not get the higher rate, and have either to claim pension credit or use their meagre savings?

@DesmondSwayne How about getting them to start work? More pensioners pay tax than 18 - 30 year olds.

Many 10s, 20s & 30s already believe the Government simply won't have the money left to pay them a state pension We must do right by our children and grandchildren and return state pensions to normal growth, so they still have a viable state to inherit telegraph.co.uk/money/pensions…
