@iSlimfit Apologies if it seems like I'm ruining your post but, it's vital for people to have a "360° view" of a topic. Not just one side. For example: w.r.t to the ss below, based on salaries alone, the take-home difference btwn £55k & £35k is only £5k. Utilities, etc may even them out.
