@pagb666 I played it on Xbox ages ago, then PC a couple years ago. I was still pretty impressed by all the weird things they did in that game. It held up pretty good imo.

@SteveOnSpeed The less local my tax dollars become, the less efficiently they’ll be spent, and with FAR less representation. In a perfect world, my biggest tax bills would be going to local/state taxes. That would make it so much easier to move and escape bad policy.

If you live in the states, does anyone believe their taxes are being used effectively?

@SimplyBitcoin I feel like any sane person has to say no. Left, right, up, down, there’s a significant amount of spending that should piss you off. It feels so much better to live in a cave and be ignorant of it all.

@parmderp I think you’ll like Witcher 3 even more after doing the DLCs. They may even be better than the main story.

@IndianaGPA He may be old and not deliver peak performance anymore, but he’s still putting out the effort for his fans. I guess I can’t fault him for doing that. If I were a huge fan, I’d still be excited to see him in person.

@Xbox_Nostalgia I’ve thought about this game more than I should over the years. The land shark and corkscrew weapons were pretty neat.

What if World of Warcraft was redone and they removed all the cartoonie graphics? Would it still hold its appeal or does the cartoon look contain a special nostalgic value that would change the game too much? 🤔

@Markus_Kurko Jet Force Gemini wins. It was absolutely amazing, with the beautiful levels with sections accessible by each character, weapons, and fun enemies. Turok 2 was amazing too, and I’m very thankful to have played 1 and 2 on steam in recent years after many years of not touching them.

@futureVrking I don’t really care about the discs specifically. I enjoy my stack of cool boxes and paper manuals that I can look back at in 30 years. But my ability to play the single player portion should be permanent regardless of any later licensing disputes I have nothing to do with.

I wish gamers fought for VR like they fight for discs.

@GameStalgiaX And so it goes with games you play in your more formative and care free years, back when you still knew what vast stretches of solo free time felt like. They will always have a much more special place in your heart because you could immerse yourself in them so completely.

There are games I haven’t played in 20 years that I still remember better than games I played last month.
