I’m not a huge fan of these types of vague sayings. “Just let it happen. Just play golf. Don’t try too hard.” To me, all these are BS and miss the point. What do those even mean? Like specifically, what actions are you taking to let it happen? Is it to relax? Then you should say breathe a certain way whether it’s box breathing, or physiological sigh. Is it to stop putting too much pressure on yourself? Then you should say, be present, focus on the feels of your body as you walk, really try to listen to the sounds you are currently hearing. Come up with really specific direction for your brain to focus on.

What do you think is main technical flaw in your swing stopping you from hitting it better? Are you sure that’s the root cause or is it a symptom? For ex. Early extension is a symptom not a root cause. If you just fix early extension, you’ll likely hit it worse. Almost anything that happens in the transition and downswing is just a reaction to the position you put yourself in the backswing good or bad.
