honestly i'm this close to quitting reading for good. every single author i actually love turns out to be problematic or worse. i'm so tired of finding out after i already got attached. feels like i can't enjoy anything anymore without a background check first

"If you're building a season that's going to Disneyland and you have an episode that's like, 'No, no, no. Let's go to Dave and Busters instead real quick.' I can see how people might be like, why aren't we at Disney World?" Does a showrunner get a pass for a weak episode when they're self-aware enough to admit it?

@fandompulse The problem with the episode was it felt like it doesn't belong and it was offensive to christians and I have read the invincible comics to the end and this episode has zero bearing to the plot at all.

@chamo_libertad Watchmen no es edgy para mí. Critica a la industria del comics, critica varias filosofías, a gobiernos. Utiliza de manera brillante la ciencia ficción. Hace un world-building muy adelantado...

Estos dos son el ejemplo perfecto: ambos critican el género de superhéroes desde una perspectiva "oscura". Sin embargo, una es considerada una de las mejores obras de todos los tiempos, mientras que la otra es vista como una porquería edgy.

Like I’ve said before, I like Batman a lot, but I don’t think there’s anything conceptually special about him that incentivizes him having so many runs and taking spotlight from other characters in the DC library. He was fortunate enough to have some damn good adaptations both in television and film which generated an audience for his comics which were also doing well in the Bronze Age and post crisis. Ever since he’s been treated as the king of DC despite the writing for his books in the past decade barely touching the level of prestige he once had.
