Arrived April 22 • 9 lbs 5 oz Though I may have some of the longest pregnancies in the world, I think I make up for it with the shortest labors! This big guy surprised us and was here in just about 4 hours. Every prayer I had for a strong, empowering home birth was answered. I don’t think I can fully explain what it feels like to hold so much joy and so much sorrow at the same time. I am so happy to welcome my boy into the world… and so heartbroken that he’s entering one without his Mimi in it. The gift of another precious baby, side by side with my grief, is something I’m still learning to carry. But I’ve never felt more lucky to be blessed with both of my babies and I’ve never been more sure that being their mom is my greatest role in life. 🤍
