Students across the country participated in the National School Walkout today to honor the victims of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida last month and to push for stricter gun control laws. I have the full story of Corning-Painted Post's walkout tonight at 6pm on @WENYTV.

@randyjo92903033 There will be a police presence to ensure safety and peace. We have direct permission from our principle and a guarantee that there will be no consequence as long as rules are followed.

#NationalSchoolWalkout You will NOT get in trouble by the school under the following conditions: -Do not be disruptive in the halls -Stay with the group -Return to the school by 10:20 We hope that you will join us in the hundreds of students nationwide to fight for gun reform

WALKOUT on Wednesday. 9:50- walk out of class 10:00- meet in front of cafeteria and walk out to track 10:20- return to classes This is admin approved and students participating will not face consequences.

I want to thank the students who organized the honoring of the parkland victims today, it was a beautiful ceremony and I’m proud to go to a school that will support events such as these.

There will be a memorial for lives lost at Stoneman Douglas in the theater on Monday (3/5) during 2nd period. Please join us in mourning the 17 people who were lost as well as commemorating the brave students and teachers who continue on #MSDStrong
