PROMOTION SECURED 🔴⚪
After today’s win against Glenvale, we have secured promotion to the WOSFL Division 2 for the 2026/27 season, subject to confirmation of teams in the Premiership obtaining their SFA licence.
Updated for typos 🤣
Milan Lucic - 11 points in 20 games
Hugo Roy - 10 points in 30 games
Felix Pare - 9 points in 34 games
Brady Risk - 8 points in 25 games
But one is considered a waste of space, useless, far too slow, too old, can't play anymore etc 🤔🤣

@scottie1910@ianmcilloney@VoiceAyr 100% , unbelievable that no one from there saw any issues , they obviously did not walk to that side of the pitch , surely you would check the part of the pitch that is totally in the shade after the previous nights weather
🚨 Scott Brown on the late call-off:
🗣️ “I feel for our fans who will already be here. It’s a really hard one to take.
🗣️ “There’s no disputing the decision. There’s a stretch of the pitch 12 yards wide that’s frozen solid and would be dangerous.
🗣️ “To be fair to the ref he’s made absolutely the right call when he arrived.”
@VoiceAyr Thought the refereeing team are supposed to be there at 1pm. Why did they not inspect the pitch then? And why did Arbroath not inform the relevant people this morning?
For avoidance of doubt - this is the large area of the Gayfield playing surface that’s frozen solid.
Not hard to miss by home officials this morning.
Match referee Ross Hardie was stunned to find the condition of the surface upon arrival and had no option but to pull the plug.
⚠️ Game OFF ⚠️
Following an inspection by the match referee, the pitch has been deemed unplayable due to a frozen area.
We apologise to all supporters who have made the trip today and please be assured we share your frustrations.
Club statement to follow.

@ianmcilloney@VoiceAyr Will back ref 100% here , he was not made aware by Arbroath that there was an issue with the pitch , which was clearly obvious , think we know 100% who’s to blame
@SuperAyrFC It was a fair bit of the pitch , about 45 yards long and 15 feet wide , was as clear as day it was not playable , how no one at Arbroath noticed it is mind boggling , Ayr coaching team noticed it right away when setting up
Tavenier was already booked at this stage.
Should have been a red card and down to 10 men, even a booking would have been a sending off?
Why didn't VAR intervene?
Who was on VAR?
Seconds later Rangers score.
A masonic game changer.
