Been thinking about how drummers specifically tend to sound like their body type. Think about Ringo, and then think about Bonham, and then think about Billy Cobham and then think about Dennis Chambers. Like everyone knows Cobham is a weight lifter, and his drumming is the most ‘muscular’ sounding I’ve ever heard. I could be projecting. But this seems less true of other instruments, maybe because drums are the most physical.
