Wow Reacher is underrated. Great story. Rosamund Pike really good. Thoroughly enjoyable.

IMDB & Rotten Tomatoes ratings of every James Bond Film, along with era by era summaries. Casino Royale the highest rated on IMDB at 8.0 (arguably the best Bond ever). Skyfall 2nd. Goldfinger the highest rated on Rotten Tomatoes.

Netflix received a $2.8 billion termination fee from Paramount after bowing out of the bidding war for Warner Bros. Discovery. The company is now increasing prices for the second time in less than two years. Netflix says the new prices are necessary to reinvest in its programming and to improve the quality of the user experience. - Standard With Ads plan: $8.99/month now. - The Standard plan: $17.99 to $19.99/month now. - The Premium plan: $24.99 to $26.99/month now. Their upcoming high-profile film, The Adventures of Cliff Booth, cost $200 million, and as we previously reported, Brad Pitt's salary can cost $20 million, but because Pitt can boost his paycheck for high-profile projects like this, he's actually being paid $40 million. Even David Fincher, the film's director, will receive $20 million, as will Quentin Tarantino for his script. Netflix's strategy of not releasing the picture in theaters is to recruit high-profile names, pay them well, and then charge the consumers whatever they want.

@DiscussingFilm Wow this sounds really cool. Love historical works more than ever because they explore a world before cellphones.

Amazon and Apple, as tech companies with deep pockets, can finance ambitious, expensive films that don't need to be guaranteed home runs to justify their existence.

@TheAutumnWind81 @TheCinesthetic I get what you mean. 95% of the moviegoing experience is visual and this is one of the most physically, visually stunning movies ever so in that regard. Yeah story isn’t groundbreaking but as far as theatrical experience that pushes the craft of filmmaking I think it’s up there.

@iam_sijo99 lol. 1 season of Harrelson & Mcconaughey was not remotely enough. We need Matthew Mcconaughey back as a detective in a time crime show or movie, True Detective or not.

Daniel Pemberton reunited with Lord and Miller and delivered a 38-track, two-hour score built on an idea the directors called “Hope Core.” He kept everything organic and tactile: traveled to Paris to record a Cristal Baschet glass organ played with wet fingertips, had children from Wells Cathedral clapping and stomping, sampled a squeaky water tap and turned it into an unstable, fragile-sounding instrument. Steel drums, human vocals, choral layers. The result feels handmade and warm in a way space movie scores rarely do. It has a gentleness that matches the movie’s soul perfectly.

Practical sets, physical prop puppets, grainy film look, religious motifs. It's the lighter, family movie version of Interstellar. Credit to Amazon for backing Ryan Gosling with this large a budget. My spoiler-free thoughts on Project Hail Mary: 70mm.org/p/project-hail…
