@jeffrygc @gretchenwhitmer The common denominator is they all go belly up. That's in a best case. Worst case? They are subject to indictment, conviction, declare bankruptcy. Trump is an excellent marketer--no doubt. But a builder? Not at all.

He puts his name on buildings (at least he used to, when his brand was worth something) for a marketing fee, like he doesn't make sneakers, bibles, steaks, water, coins, nfts, casinos, colleges, media companies, airplanes, golf courses. Detroit is the epitome of “grit,” defined by winners willing to get their hands dirty to build up their city and create their communities—something Donald Trump could never understand. So keep Detroit out of your mouth. And you better believe Detroiters won’t forget this in November.
