Similar was said around 2000 when we weren't really competitive at top table of hurling. A smart clubman of ours said we'll compete sooner in football if given resources. Granted we won Leinster hurling in 04 but it was more fluke than deserved. We were unlucky to loose a good few Leinster football finals in the same decade, and made all Ireland semi, which we could have won, bad 1st half cost us big style.

@Panthero84 Co Board will simply say the clubs voted for this which unfortunately is true . A form was sent to the clubs with 3 options . 70-30/50-50/30-70. There is currently 120 u14s being picked on a hurling panel and 48 allowed on the football with ZERO boys allowed to play both codes

Surely as a dual county we should be promoting 50/50 in both codes, especially in young kids. Would this option be available to do more of one than another if there was a chance of football been given more priority? It doesn’t stop here mind you…🤯

Chiesa deserves a lot more than bringing him on at the 87th minute! An awful lot more! Shows his character of what a great player & person he is though, as I don’t think too many other players would have that attitude if they were treated like that!
