@whoisdangerouss I *hate* to defend Jermaine but thats inaccurate. She was 21 on a TV show, in 2016, meaning she's 32 now, not 27. That being said. It's still fuckin weird!!!

@JumpsForJoyy I really hope that in a sequel, they make the connection in that him befriending these random families began when he was totally isolated from his family and had trouble making one of his own. He was playing house, that's all it was.

@BackupHangman My issue is that we KNOW the supposed "solution" is either going to be more of the same or even worse! If this company really did have a total reset with a hot angle like the NWO, sure, I'd be down. We are getting heel Pat McAfee. Even in storyline there's a big disconnect there.

@BackupHangman Respectfully, I think the reason why this is a bad idea is because the follow through is almost never good, lol. At least on paper, the Death Riders were created to "save AEW" and yeah some of it was pretty bad TV, but we saw with All Out that a good pay off is possible (1/2)

I just caught the SD opening seg, and rule of thumb: Any show doing a “This show is bad, the wrestlers are bad, this company needs to be saved” promo is in a bad place. It’s peak Russo, and the worst stretches of AEW leaned into this direction to their immense detriment. St Louis was dead silent for most of this.

if this is true, it would match the runtime needed for the plot shown in the first trailer: focus on the J5-victory era, with Joe as the main villain and Michael‘s ambition as the key to salvation. the other eras and issues (like media scrutiny) will be covered in part 2 +
