@PanYijingFlora@CS_PerfectWorld@PWRDEsports Chinese fans meme Ilya as a “princess” or “rich young lady” lol, so this effect was intentionally picked for him. It’s actually hilarious and weirdly fitting😋😋🥰
@ataldablair@burgerisburger yep. Actually Chinese also has a lot of wordplay involving “dad” because many phrases sound similar. For example, “老霸道了” (lǎo bàdào le), which means “so dominant” or “super overpowered,” sounds almost identical to “老爸到了” (“dad has arrived”). :P
@777kiay@burgerisburger Oooh that’s interesting, I wasn’t aware of that being a thing. Makes perfect sense now that you explained. Thank you so much! ☺️
Okay. I need people that know Chinese to tell me what does the expression Ilya likes to use means.
Also what is the guy actually saying in the video?
Anyways why is Nikola so adorable? And Ilya?
NiKo and Ilya (m0NESY). 😍😏❤️
@ataldablair@burgerisburger It comes from the traditional idea that a father has authority and power within family. Some people use “dad” as a joking way to admit that someone is much stronger/more dominant than them.
Now it became a meme.Chinese fans call “dad” to show respect for his skill and dominance
