The reason AkiAngel grew close so quickly, even though they seemed so different at first, is because they’re actually very similar. Both of them are incredibly gentle, Aki is the kindest human, and Angel is the most compassionate devil. Both live under the constant shadow of death. They resemble each other so much that being drawn to one another is inevitable, moved by each other’s existence, and easily able to see the soft, quiet tenderness hidden beneath the other’s distant exterior. But they also understand all too well that a deeper bond between them could never truly form. Their fates were decided long before they met, and the feelings they develop can never change the harsh future awaiting them. Because of their pasts and identities, they cannot and should not express anything to the other. So those emotions can only exist in the unique atmosphere between them: a quiet kind of romance tinged with sorrow, a poetic beauty that words can never fully capture, like an invisible caress that even outsiders can faintly feel.
