So my hypothesis is that Neanderthals didn't go extinct due to displacement immigration out of Africa, but that Neanderthals *evolved* into White Europeans. Neanderthals traditionally survived on a 98% carnivorous diet. But as big game animals became scarce in Europe, Neanderthals were forced to start eating more vegetable foods. By partially interbreeding with Asian Homo Erectus (a vegan species), European Neanderthals were then able to evolve into human omnivores. This hypothesis explains why Europeans today still eat more meat than any other human race, why we are the largest pastoralist race, and why we evolved to digest milk. Because we retained the Neanderthal hunger for flesh and blood. It also explains why White people are the best Olympic athletes (Apex Neanderthal athletes/hunters), or why we have highest rates of autism and ADHD -- all Neanderthal side-effects. Or why we are so explosively creative (Neanderthals used medicinal plant drugs to soothe their hyperactive minds.) In short, lack of meat forced the domestication of the Neanderthal, and they became European omnivores.
