Part 2: if you are a starter at your “small school” and put up good numbers, STAY THERE! It doesn’t mean you are too good for that place. It just means that the coach saw something in you that the “big schools” didn’t! #loyalty

Good player but an even better young man!!

So proud of my guys for not quitting when things were not going the way we wanted this year. They kept battling,!playing hard, and played some very good ball the last couple of weeks. They grew as players and as young men. That’s all I can ask of them. Roll Hogs!

IF YOU CAN’T PLAY CATCH, YOU CAN’T PLAY. Playing catch is THE most important fundamental skill of the game. Generally speaking, the teams that play catch the best are the teams that win the most because they know how to take care of the ball. #STdrills

There aren’t many things better for a coach than hearing the crack of the bat in hitting facility after after practice is over, and seeing multiple guys getting extra work on their on, on a daily basis! Trust the process, enjoy the grind, self motivation! #culture

If you want to play at the next level be the best at playing catch. Big leaguers never ever overthrow their catch partner. Watch how they go about pre game catch, they don’t miss. It’s not hard it just take focus and taking pride in doing it. Can’t play catch can’t play ball.

Bad teams: individuals play for themselves. Good teams: individuals play for their coaches. Great teams: individuals play for each other.

It has been a very long off-season. I can’t wait to get back on the field with my guys for the official start of practice. I pray we get to play the full schedule and and everyone in our baseball family remains healthy.
