Yes the devils can make moves, but if you compare both rosters side by side, the leafs need significantly less work to re-tool and compete. They were a win away from the conference finals literally 2 yrs ago.

@7lrcj7 @Account4hockey Competing is different from contention. Yeah, the Leafs could make the playoffs next year with some shrewd moves but I don't think they are a threat to win a Cup. Devils have needs too but they have much more ammo with which to bring in impactful help

@cfpzach @Account4hockey What needs do the leafs need exactly? I genuinely think they are a top 6 FWD + Dman away from at least competing next year. Knies + Tavares extensions allowed flexibility. 100% NJ has more assets. Not gonna argue that.

I beg to differ, he cares about our son who was struggling in ICU after a heart transplant in January. Willy came by the ICU and sat with our son, just one on one for almost an hour. It helped lift our son's spirits and got him out of the ICU. #88 is an amazing person, and hockey player!
