TEXAS SENATE RACE: Kelly Hancock wasn't eligible to be appointed Comptroller so Glenn Hagar appointed him Chief Clerk allowing him to serve as interim comptroller until Don Huffines take over after November. Hancock is using his interim role to sabotage Ken Paxton's senate campaign helping his Democrat challenger James Talarico. Abbott ought to name Huffines as Comptroller today and either send Hancock packing or let him continue on as Chief Clerk. Texas can't afford to have a saboteur running the state's books.
