The name in question had 4 syllables but the pronunciation should have been down right obvious to English speakers. Like, it had no strings of multiple vowels. Just the easy consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel easy as shit pattern.

Just the other day I was talking to someone I know very well. This person referred to someone we both know as "[their name] or whatever". I IMMEDIATELY shut that down. I snapped back, "It's just [their name]. Not [their name] or whatever".
