I woke up this morning so fucking grateful for Cinema. At my lowest points in life, when I had nothing going for me, I still had Cinema. What more can you ask for in life? I’m so grateful a film like The Goonies exists. It makes me feel like a kid again. Thankful as hell for film

Without thinking about it too much, name a movie that was, more or less, built around a soundtrack. I'm not talking about something obvious like Viva Las Vegas or Sgt Peppers or Hard Day's Night. I'll go first: Pretty in Pink Xanadu Grease What else?

This is going to sound silly, but I need to say it. Or write it. So... I'm watching The Golden Girls. It's my comfort show. It reminds me of a world that had my grandmother. A world that shaped who I am today before the world decided to fall apart. Anyway, I have gotten to the episode where the girls crash a high school reunion and Rose has to have open heart surgery. My friends, I began to openly weep. Everyone of those precious women are gone. So is my grandmother. So is the girl I used to be. So is the world in which the show existed. It's all gone. For some reason, that broke a part of me. For a moment, it tore my heart out and I could just gasp. Swallowing nothing but raw sorrow. There will never be another show like this one. There will never be four actresses who play such beautifully funny and warm characters. There will never be another world where a show like this could exist. The credits have rolled and there is nothing left but memories. I will never be the girl I once was again. Sheesh. Well, I told you it was silly. Thanks for reading.

@TheApexRM Okay, then it wasn't just me. I also had an anxiety attack and was on the verge of tears. There was a particular scene where it just hit me. It's a really good movie. I highly recommend it. Just be sure take care of yourself afterwards.

never in my life have I had a genuine panic attack at a movie theater than watching the film obsessed. probably the most soul chilling 90 minutes I’ve ever experienced watching a film. actually torture from start to finish. if you have deep relationship trauma, please be warned when watching this film. I was going in blind and I came out reliving shit I buried deep for like 3 years lmao.
