These are fake news groups in West Asia, impersonating Chinese official accounts and spreading disinformation for maximum profit. As a Chinese journalist, I can assure you these accounts have no affiliation whatsoever with the Chinese government. I dug through their posting history and found: 1. All used the Chinese national flag as the profile photo. (After my first post, some have changed the photo to make the accounts look less identical.) 2. The accounts cross-promote and repost one another to maximize traffic and follower increase. 3. They posted claims never stated by Chinese authorities, deliberately stoking sentiment to maximize engagement and reach. This did huge harms to China. 4. They heavily scrape and repost positive content from genuine Chinese journalists and netizens to fabricate the appearance of legitimacy. (Anyone familiar with the Chinese official knows they never place photos of President Xi Jinping in account banners.) 5. Most of these accounts (“China News”, “China Global”, “China Live”, and “China in English” ) were created in late 2025 and early 2026. The larger ones (China Pulse) date back to 2022. “China News” has already been suspended.

This is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, the most symbolically powerful embodiment of American liberalism and multicultural optimism the country has ever produced, signing off on a kill list every Tuesday morning in the White House. Tuesday. Morning. Kill list. And the American liberal establishment, the people who marched against Bush, who wept when Obama was elected, who believed in the possibility of a different kind of American power, largely looked away. Because the discomfort of following the analysis where it leads, past the party, past the leader, past the identity investment in having chosen the right side, is greater than most political psychologies are built to bear. The drone kept flying. The Nobel medal kept hanging. Both things were true at the same time. That is not a contradiction that can be resolved by voting differently. It requires a different kind of reckoning entirely.

I love this clip where Michael Parenti points out capitalism requires poverty to function as the wealth of the elite is produced by the deprivation of the many. It uses poverty as punishment to maintain low wages and keep people afraid of losing their jobs.
