@DougieCritchley His major blemish was the appointment of Michael Beale, however, he got far more right than wrong and he is owed as much credit for the turnaround as the players he signed. History will reflect on him fondly.

Kristjaan Speakman deserves enormous credit for his work at Sunderland. He arrived on the 4th December 2020, with Sunderland 7th in League 1 and leaves us 11th in the Premier League. It wasn't always perfect, but some of the signings were brilliant. So many highlights... but Ross Stewart and Trai Hume signed for under £350,000 each, Ballard for £2m, Bellingham for £1.5m, Mayenda for £700,000, persuading Enzo Le Fee to sign on loan last season and working alongside Florent Ghisolfi last summer. Forever grateful for helping us get our club back! ❤️

@FosseHub Methven was a parasite at Sunderland and asset stripped the club to line his own pockets. That’s his legacy at our club. As a rule of thumb if he speaks, ignore it because he’s full of shite.

@88NTaylor No! Tommy Watson would have been out of contract summer of 2026. Plus he’s younger and an attacker. Had 18 months left on his contract when the deal was agreed with Brighton, not six months like Dan Neil.
