@drjcurran I'd argue Esse & JRS haven't been given a fair chance by OG. It's clear he doesn't like flair over rigid structure. Hope Johnson brings more in time next season, but throughly underwhelming. Which his reputation was before signing. Franca is a dud 🚮

It's almost impossible to replace the likes of Zaha, Olise and Eze with the same level of quality...But their actual replacements have been Franca, Esse, Pino and Johnson and from the academy, Rak Saki #cpfc

@88burty It “worked” on Thursday. The players just didn’t finish. I think that’s where Glasner alluding to with the players feeling too nervous. I wouldn’t be shocked to see a two striker set up at some point Thursday.

@CPFC_Tampa Why are they nervous? Feeling like they might get hung out to dry of they make a mistake or break his rigid structure? Feels like no flair is allowed. Just look at the players farmed out on loan and cast aside by OG. Been treated quite harshly imo.

@CPFC_Tampa Yeah, but the status quo isn't working is it. That's my point, we don't know as it's groundhog day. I think again people would be less frustrated if in games we've tried to mix it up, but it's just chuck on more players. Often too late too.

Unlike some other sides who saw red against Palace (Forest, Wolves) & were comfortable in a low block, Leeds struggle when they sit in a deeper organized defense. This will negate their efficient high press & limit winning set pieces up the pitch. Good news for Palace! #CPFC

💭 What are your full thoughts on the game? Surely we needed to go for it more with Leeds down to 10 men. We ended the game with 0 shots on target.

@CEO4TAG Steve, when will the club read the room and understand 40 quid a ticket for Larnaca and Mostar was a mistake. 25/30 quid was the max we should be charging on a Thursday night. Fans and season ticket holders like myself voting with my feet. 🤷

@se25jg All I want is a plastic season ticket card. It's not much to ask, I have a 25 yr season ticket that runs until 2031 so I am not exactly going to risk that by doing anything dodgy with it. Oh well I will continue to get printouts at the box office every game instead.

Sharon Lacey is killing our Football club by the way. Tonight we could of packed out Selhurst with ticket pricing that was affordable for the community. How are we to grow our fanbase and fill a new stand if we price out local people and families? #cpfc

Disgraceful pricing of the conference league games at Selhurst this season. The board should hang their heads in shame. Selhurst should be a sell out every game if anything the crowds are getting worse as we get further into the competition. The value for money is so so poor. Should at least be a family package for the Whitehorse and a reduction for those sitting in the Arthur Wait or early bird pricing #cpfc

@CPFC_Tampa Of course and I think Guessand was our best player on the night. The criticism is that there is no plan B tactically. It's more of the same with different players, that's the frustration. We have other options.

@88burty Yup.. result of course not what we wanted, but that same performance would be celebrated had Guessand kicked it anywhere other than the keeper’s face in the 8th minute! xG/shot of 0.13 shows the quality of chances. That metric would be 1st in both UECL & the PL over a season!

Hopefully I’m in before the “sky is falling” crowd floods the ol’ timeline.. Frustrating? Yes Having a cushion is *obviously* ideal & we want to avoid penalties after 0-0 in Cyprus But 1H showed promise. Plus Muñoz should be back for the 2nd leg You know I’m optimistic! #CPFC

@CPFC_Tampa Well the results against these set ups say it all. Plus the old fashioned eye test when the 10s are deep receiving the ball back to goal. Progressive passing channels non existent to the 10s.

@88burty I’d assert that that’s far too reductive of a statement. Go look at Sarr’s heat map. He wasn’t narrow whatsoever. Plus I thought Mitchell looked solid again. We had chances in the 1H before they fully bunkered in. Not a tactical issue at all imo. But the (lack of) subs.. 🤦‍♂️
