@89WLS @tromblybaseball We used to, everybody and all teams. It’s a product of our culture! Most of these kids don’t know what a shovel, tamp or rake is!

Lazy field maintenance is becoming the norm. Instead of fixing mounds, we’re covering them with torn mats that slide, wrinkle, and eliminate the pitching rubber altogether. Pitchers deserve a consistent, safe landing area, not a tripping hazard. Stop cutting corners.

This was unexpected. The new Mattel LJN Jake Roberts has a lower half that is made of green material with purple paint for the boots and snakes on the tights. The old Jake LJN was a solid piece of vinyl/rubber that was the color of his flesh with green tights painted on

@BaseballDudes48 Nobody is confronting a guy keeping a paper book. Use GC for the video aspect and scheduling and basic score and inning. The rest of it, shut it down.

GameChanger stats… Pitch counts, strike outs, walks and runs scored are the only basic stats that can’t be manipulated. Unless of course the person running GC forgets to change pitchers or has the lineup wrong. If the person running it struggles to differentiate between hits and errors, hits and a fielders choice, hits and a sacrifice, passed balls and wild pitches, stolen bases and indifference, almost everything you see will be inaccurate. Batting average, ERA, hits, hits allowed, earned runs, WHIP, RBI’s, they will all be skewed and sometimes in a big way. GC (a pretty amazing app BTW) has become a source of tension in our youth game. Adult emotion and user error are at the center of it. If this is happening on your team, the easiest solution is to stop using it. If parents and coaches want stats, let them keep their own book.
