I’ve worked in design / a public-facing career long enough to know that there’s always a sub-culture that exists merely to “dunk on you” (I saw it as an illustrator trying to break my way into the scene and I see it now). No matter what you say, they show up to remind you that “you ain’t shit”. Especially when they decide something isn’t for them. These pot shots are easy to toss out (especially from a place of having “made it”) and they say more about tribalism than they do about a universal bent towards the proliferation of art of technology and its impact on the future. But I’ll also say this: earnestly giving all of your might towards punching back and/or working to convince them won’t sway these folks. Neither will addressing them directly. (In a way, that’s the irony of even this tweet isn’t it?) In fact, there’s a real possibility you may never convert some people to believing in the ideal future state of what you’re building. And that’s okay! What matters is working as hard as you fucking can on the things that you know matter. What matters is giving your all towards something — and caring deeply about the outcome. What matters is that there are people on the other end that you know matter deeply; that regardless of the odds or the pre-written narrative, know that this isn’t checkers — it’s chess. No one is perfect, but I believe in what can be accomplished from those who care (even when it’s not cool to “care”) and what they can do with an activated community. No movement has existed separate from the people that drove it into existence. There is no one messiah that will deliver this space or any space — it’s in the collective efforts of those that are here, in working towards what they believe to be the next step for both art, technology, and the collective of all of humanity. Every project won’t be for every one, but I firmly believe everyone can find someone somewhere they align with. Because that’s the beauty of crowd-sourcing, elevating, and highlighting the best thinkers here and abroad. The whole of this space can win — if only we’re willing to allow the best of what this technology and this renaissance can enable to exist. You’re not just here because you’re crazy, you’re here because you saw something. Even when it looked wild, unlikely, and arguably “impossible”.

Not a fumble. There was no roadmap or promises. No marketing. No royalty contract. Founders released the project as a fine art collectible. They provided actual utility with NCT. Hashmasks should be recognized for their art, innovation and historical significance. It’s not dependent on some third party delivering unsustainable and artificial value. Hashmaks will have its moment and will continue to appreciate over the long term.

@eth_ben @petrdu Do you think the 14th largest bank in the US is a “sketchy” bank? I’m sure you also know that Yuga had funds at SVB right? Proof had less than 50% of their treasury deposited at SVB. They were in fact diversified and did have 40 million in eth and stables as well.

To highlight a few: Collector profiles, and innovative dynamic backgrounds. (including partnerships with the biggest artists in the space) Lunar Society DAO funded with an initial 2 MILLION to support community initiatives. Deep dive research reports, weekly town halls covering the market, and daily content live on YouTube covering all news in the NFT space. Nesting rewards, raffles, merch and giveaways. The Oddities drop, DefyBirds and Mythics releasing soon. Incredible IRL events all over world. New York, Miami, LA, Tokyo, and a Europe tour. They have a 30+ person team that is experienced and well connected, they have more financial resources than just about anyone and have maintained a level of transparency and communication that is second to no one. They are just getting started and building for the long term. The double standard is a joke.

Talk is cheap. It’s easy to take shots for engagement. Playing constant defense is a diminishing value of return. What changes things will be shipping great product and changing the narrative by action. Let them talk. Until they can’t ignore something special that’s happening.

@ashrobin @JustinMezzell @NFTommo Proof and Moonbirds have accomplished more and delivered more tangible products than just about every other NFT project out there. In less than a year. What are some things of substance that other projects have done that make them worth investing in? Very curious.

*Announcing Project Bcc0-100* Art is changing Technology is changing We are changing We live are in a world of symbols Where do we live? Bcc0-100 is a performance piece, the first of its kind, pioneering the interaction of blockchain and digital spaces. Setting free the creative power of this digital world. *HOW IT WORKS* ARTISTS - Here I announce project BCC0-100. It’s an open call to remix Moonbird #2873, in your eyes. You can make an earnest statement, induce satire, conflict, love, politics, humor, wonderment, or the inconceivable. As you like…in your style, vision, and context. To be part of Bcc0-100, I must co-sign the work. The way I do that is by retweeting the contract of your work underneath this thread having you made me aware of the launch date of your contract. This is how we collaborate, and how your work is co-signed. Your contract must be an 24hour OE. I want zero ETH or royalties from your primary contract or secondary sales. You can of course create the work and not have it co-signed or submitted for co-submission, but this will not be a part of the BCC0-100 and it will be up to the audience to decide how these works will be regarded and understood. There will only be 100 publicly co-signed works. This performance piece could take weeks, months, or years. It may involve 100 relatively unknown artists, or it may attract very well known artists, or a mix. But in the end there will no longer be BCC0, but BCC100. The performance starts when the first contract is retweeted. Artists, DM me.
