8th Reigate Scouts

As another Cub Scouting year draws to a close for 8th Reigate, we celebrated with our usual hike to Reigate Fort. All done at an impressive pace this year and a suitable farewell for the 5 cubs who are off to Scouts in September! @RAASchoolGatton @surreyscouts @ReigateScouts

The Scouts had a blast on the climbing wall & abseiling tower. Some were expert and some novices but all made progress. It was great to see people scared to go over the edge abseiling then come back for more! Fears conquered! @RAASchoolGatton @surreyscouts @ReigateScouts

The 8th Reigate leadership camp for Scouts saw a camp largely conducted and led by older Scouts. Teamwork and leadership skills were to the fore - they had an amazing time in a phenomenal location: Gatton Park! @RAACoCurriculum @RAASchoolGatton @surreyscouts @ReigateScouts

A huge privilege for some of the cubs and scouts to join the the 80th anniversary commemoration of the lives of the crew of flight SO-F 547 USAAF at Reigate Hall this afternoon. With added Chinook fly pass. @RAACoCurriculum @surreyscouts @ReigateScouts

Games, a quiz and more work on the Fire Safety badge tonight with a virtual tour of a fire station! @RAACoCurriculum @RAASchoolGatton @surreyscouts @ReigateScouts

A quick trip to the rock garden today as a part of the naturalist badge and then back to focus on the frie safety badge and a spot more crossbow action! @RAACoCurriculum @RAASchoolGatton @surreyscouts

Stop! Drop! Roll! The Fire Safety badge continued today as the cubs practised their fire safety skills as well enjoying some games a a spot indoor crossbow firing. @RAACoCurriculum @RAASchoolGatton @surreyscouts @ReigateScouts
