5,505 H-1B visas approved in FY2025.
11,000 of their 32,000 US workers are on H-1B visas. That is 34% of their American workforce.
In July 2025 they announced 12,000 layoffs. Most targeting US-based employees.
Then over 20 American workers filed an EEOC complaint. They said TCS fired them on short notice and replaced them with H-1B workers from India.
Senators Grassley and Durbin sent a letter directly to the TCS CEO. Their words: “With all of the homegrown American talent relegated to the sidelines, we find it hard to believe that TCS cannot find American tech workers to fill these positions.”
Bloomberg reported TCS misclassified managers to get around H-1B rules entirely.
98,259 H-1B workers hired between 2009 and 2025.

OMG. Angela Lipps, a 50yo grandmother from Tennessee, was arrested at gunpoint at her home and jailed in South Dakota for over 100 days because AI facial recognition mistakenly linked her to a fraud case.
She lost everything she owned, including her home, dog, income, health insurance, doctors, car, and clothes.
She says she hasn’t even received an apology.
