NEWS: The expectation is that Memphis HC Penny Hardaway returns for his ninth season as head coach, per source. Additionally, Hardaway is expected to clean slate with his assistant staff before the start of portal season, source adds. Several candidates have already been contacted. In regards to Penny’s future, source cites that the administration were concerned about the “politics” and “financials” of firing Penny. For context, Memphis would have to pay a $6 million buyout + potential buyout for new coach + increase financial commitment to program.

@mehdidds That and they used to care about their season ticket holders but when they told us we couldn't sell more than half of our tickets it made me mad like you can't sell your tickets now so do you get a refund. Yea they need to understand.

@mehdidds What is weird I stayed 22 years and sat through some rough patches and was like why am I paying for this trash. Then they got greedy jacked up the ticket prices for Ja and I was like I'm out and never went back. Have been to one game in 2 years. I rarely missed a game in 22 years
