@VirusZeke Because child porn doesn't require that an actual human is harmed. Creation of media showing children by any method is illegal. That you aren't aware of why the term was changed IN AMERICA AND ONLY THERE is your failure. No one else's.

One reason for antis to insist on using the term cp is because they can apply it to fictional nsfw content, since that can be referred to as porn. It's shock value to them. While csam implies the existence of abuse, which can't be done to a fictional character. It's performative

In 2012 the Danish Government tasked the Sexologist Klinik to look into the possibility that sexual drawings depicting fictional minors could lead to real sex crimes. Research showed there is no link.
