Watching the content from the players ..they absorbed the pressure well since the city game .. I love it

Been watching him closely all season long .. now the seasons ended I’ll come round to posting.. hopefully

As well as being amongst the best in the world at finishing already in his career .. hard not to get carried away

He’s improved a lot as the seasons gone on with how he deals with pressure from behind & where he exits.. he’d often dummy the ball in this scenario beginning of the season

@umirf1 Kvara did it for the Ruiz goal.. charged at Rice and left the entire right flank vacant .. if Rice passed to Saliba it would’ve been 2v1 on the right side with big space for Arsenal.. one of the main thing Arsenal got to poke at even though its quite risky

UCL final opposition analysis thread. Will continue to update. Currently analysing for a written article (which will have to be less detailed than my research) so sharing some of that detail here: 1. Kvara defensive disposition, PSG back-pressing & third-man runs. Kvaratskhelia defensive work rate is top but he has a tendency to press players with the ball reactively more than others. Being aware of this tendency can help Arsenal look for runs off of the back of him. Timber and Saka were able to create good 2 vs 1 situations exploiting this quirk. PSG generally back press intensely, especially when the player receiving the ball doesn't have a dedicated man-marker (both images) Horizontal movements to show for the ball (initially) unmarked (Rice in the second image) can entice back-pressure that allows the third man to receive the ball facing forward. City's build-up in the goal vs Chelsea in the FA Cup final similarly played on this idea. Cherki pulled wide, Semenyo dropped deep and Cucurella (tendency to press aggressively and in response to a player with the ball nearby) back-pressed leaving Cherki free to pick the ball up facing forwards. Could imagine similar dynamic with Odegaard (moving deep right) + Saka.

Saka jammy goal & raya worldie same game week .. a lot went our way & deserved it

Hopefully Havertz has a solid hour against palace .. He’d give Marquinhos & Pacho a tough time especially in the air .. him floating to the right will give mendes issues too .. quite confident in him turning up for the final

This team won the league as a total collective…Makes it even more special… every player had a massive moment to remember .. they played for each other every minute .. league winning side without 1 or 2 stand out players is a proper team

Quite concerning there wasn’t a mention of Soucek fouling Havertz at the near post to begin with

Of all the fouls it’s the one that has the most impact on the play .. even more than Raya .. Havertz clears that ball comfortably if he isn’t fouled .. everything else is secondary
