Archie Gray is gonna be a wonderful player. But he is still only 19yo and has already played 73 games for us.
That speaks volumes.
He should be making the odd appearance off the bench or on loan because our first XI is so good the competition is too high. You should be AMAZING to get to 73 games in your teens but right now if you are fit you play. If you’re considered “good” then you’re guaranteed to play. Absolutely no competition for places whatsoever.

Just for some context. This is Romero’s 5th season at Spurs and he has 4 Premier League red cards. That’s just less than one a season. Two of his four red cards were second yellows in the last minute of matches. His only two straight red cards in 5 seasons were Chelsea in 2023 and United on Saturday.
He’s no angel but the media agenda against him is truly mind-boggling and it always has been
