I’m not writing these words… I’m bleeding them. My cat isn’t dying suddenly… She is fading slowly in front of my eyes, day after day… And with each passing day, I feel like I’m losing a part of myself with her. Her body can no longer endure… Her eyes are filled with pain and hunger… And her weak voice is no longer just a meow… it’s a cry for help. She looks at me as if she’s saying: “I’m so tired… please help me… don’t leave me like this.” Have you ever loved a soul this deeply… yet found yourself completely helpless to save them? This is how I feel right now. I am broken… my circumstances are stronger than me… but she does not deserve to pay the price for my weakness. She is not just a cat… She is my soul, my comfort, the last beautiful thing I have in this world. And today… her life is slowly slipping away… in silence… in pain. I’m not asking for much… I’m asking for mercy. 💔 A small meal to ease her hunger 💔 Medicine to relieve her pain 💔 A chance to live even one day without suffering Your smallest help could mean everything to her. And if you can’t donate… please don’t just scroll past… share this post… it might reach someone who can save her. Please… don’t let her die waiting for kindness. Today… you could be the difference between life and death. chuffed.org/project/171985… @ireallyhateyou @indianloonie @olivelacedpen @mrs_socialista @SorchaBrazil @TheEggpie @anarchotadigism @meralhece @effirefire @basedgizmo @burak_turna @hsnyldrm1979 @Terrilltf @sonavamilbukucu @Tweettowhoo @semihnisanci89 @ElizabethleaVos @litlbeansprout @sullibible @BlakPantherBabe @MothTongue_ @Sain4847 @lukeisamazing @tnega74 @ISASaxonists @digermesele @umaymohamed @KatanaSpeaks @kerry_sinanan @sistertonin @LukFloes @MissPavIichenko @ThatTimWalker @obaa_boni @satinchaitiu @theafroaussie @ComradeIzzy @lunalunabraga @meralhece

Software horror: litellm PyPI supply chain attack. Simple `pip install litellm` was enough to exfiltrate SSH keys, AWS/GCP/Azure creds, Kubernetes configs, git credentials, env vars (all your API keys), shell history, crypto wallets, SSL private keys, CI/CD secrets, database passwords. LiteLLM itself has 97 million downloads per month which is already terrible, but much worse, the contagion spreads to any project that depends on litellm. For example, if you did `pip install dspy` (which depended on litellm>=1.64.0), you'd also be pwnd. Same for any other large project that depended on litellm. Afaict the poisoned version was up for only less than ~1 hour. The attack had a bug which led to its discovery - Callum McMahon was using an MCP plugin inside Cursor that pulled in litellm as a transitive dependency. When litellm 1.82.8 installed, their machine ran out of RAM and crashed. So if the attacker didn't vibe code this attack it could have been undetected for many days or weeks. Supply chain attacks like this are basically the scariest thing imaginable in modern software. Every time you install any depedency you could be pulling in a poisoned package anywhere deep inside its entire depedency tree. This is especially risky with large projects that might have lots and lots of dependencies. The credentials that do get stolen in each attack can then be used to take over more accounts and compromise more packages. Classical software engineering would have you believe that dependencies are good (we're building pyramids from bricks), but imo this has to be re-evaluated, and it's why I've been so growingly averse to them, preferring to use LLMs to "yoink" functionality when it's simple enough and possible.

That’s the exact spot where you stop forcing it and it just starts stacking quietly

GM. The most interesting thing about River isn’t “points.” It’s time-bounded coordination. Seasons, countdowns, and verifiable attention as a portable primitive. People flex daily earns and there are 33 days left this season. That’s not grindbait; it’s a reset that reopens discovery and blunts entrenchment. If @riverdotinc doubles down on open rails signed events, public indexers, client-agnostic moderation, non-custodial payouts, user-owned identity you get a censorship-resistant social market where speech is free and value moves without banks. Stop asking how many points make you rich. Use them as signal. Curate. Route attention to creators shipping truth and craft. In open networks, capital follows signal faster than it follows ad budgets. My ask: ship exportable social graphs and privacy-preserving attestations that roll with each season. Let anyone build ranking, feeds, and funding on top. That’s how this becomes infrastructure, not just another app. @riverdotinc
