What really happens is that Tetsuro goes out and about after his bath but we don't see that. In the manga we just see him wake up on the train headed for Wildflower. In the anime we get our introduction to Hanaka earlier.

Love Tetsuro but he has a problem when it comes to bathing. In the manga, after insistence from Maetel, he takes one in their fancy hotel room. When she wakes up, he's gone! Maybe the bath was a mistake..

Clock is voiced by Kan Tokumaru, who provided voices for characters such as Cucuruz Doan from Mobile Suit Gundam and various other series. Fun fact, he also filled in for Makio Inoue for episodes 9-10 of Harlock 78!

Ryuz explains her backstory in the manga but in the anime we get the full flashback, as well as an introduction to Clock.

Similar to what I mentioned with the passing of Nozomi Aoki earlier in the week, Ikeda's voice and Maetel are synonymous in my eyes. Even when I'm looking at the manga, I hear her voice. Same for Nozawa and Kimotsuki. Heartbroken to hear of her passing.

Masako Ikeda, the voice of Maetel, has passed away at the age of 87.

Next is M-22, this is a sped-up version of 4-C. Sadly this version does not appear nearly as many times as the slower one.

First piece is 1-M-18: I come from a Dragon Ball background and for me, Shunsuke Kikuchi and Dragon Ball to me are on the same level as Nozomi Aoki and Galaxy Express 999. In my book, you can't have one without the other.

This morning (in my time zone) it was announced that Nozomi Aoki, composer of the GE999 TV series and first films background music had passed away at the age of 94. In lieu of an episode thread this week, I will be sharing some of my favorite pieces.

Ryuz is voiced by Haruko Kitahama, who sadly passed away in 2023. By 1978 she's an industry veteran, beginning with Tetsujin 28 in 1963. She also was prolific in dubbing for actresses such as Elizabeth Montgomery and Dorothy Malone.
