I don’t talk about this much, but I feel like it’s time. There was a point in my life when alcohol, pills, and weed had more control over me than I wanted to admit. I used them to cope, to relax, to escape, but honestly they just left me feeling stuck and empty. I kept telling myself I was fine, but deep down I knew I wasn’t. Things started changing when I turned back to Jesus Christ. It wasn’t instant and it wasn’t perfect, but little by little He gave me strength I didn’t have on my own. The cravings got weaker. My mind felt clearer. I started choosing peace instead of escape. I’m really thankful I didn’t have to go through it alone. My fiancée stood by me through everything. She prayed for me, encouraged me, and reminded me who I was when I couldn’t see it myself. Being loved at your lowest does something to your heart. Now I have a clearer mind, stronger faith, and a real sense of purpose. I’m not perfect, but I’m free, and I’m grateful every day. If you’re struggling, don’t give up. Change is possible. God loves you and lives in your heart whether you know it or not - Delrosa ❤️
