I sold my house last week. I’m putting every penny into Pokemon cards. Yes, you read that correctly. I’m moving into my Grandma’s basement to cut expenses and buy as many cards as possible. She thinks I’ve lost my mind, but I can’t sit here and watch this market pump every single day and not be in it. Pokemon cards returned 1,900% in 5 years. My house returned 14%. One day I’ll sell the cards and buy a house 10x bigger. People can laugh now, but they won’t be laughing for long.

The driver, Amy DeGise, lost her driving privileges for a year and had to pay a $5,000 fine, but that’s it. The incident happened back in 2022. But given how politicians are being made to resign for sexual assault allegations and offenses, what other acts should make them step down? In the crash, the bicyclist, Andrew Black, did go through a red light when DeGise had the green. But DeGise leaving the scene of an accident was obviously illegal. Moreover, DeGise had no idea if Black was okay. Obviously he’s to blame for running the red light. And I loathe how many bicyclists ignore laws. But that doesn’t give other people the right to ignore laws too. There need to be more severe legal penalties for bicyclists running reds, but that’s another rant. Should DeGise have been forced to resign from the council? Faced greater penalties? I feel like both people involved were in the wrong and both should’ve faced greater legal penalties.
